About Axiomos
Axiomos is building the universal OS for AI. Today, 70%+ of AI runs on Nvidia GPUs and CUDA, creating lock-in and huge costs. Our technology, AXIR, is a universal intermediate representation that lets any AI model run on any hardware (GPU, TPU, Trainium, photonic, neuromorphic). We already have a working prototype proving CUDA/HIP kernels running on Intel GPUs.
The Role
We are looking for a technical co-founder (CTO) to lead product development. As CTO, you’ll own the technical roadmap, build and optimize AXIR, and grow the engineering team. This is not just a job — it’s co-ownership of a deeptech startup aiming to become the Windows/ARM of AI.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead R&D on compilers, GPU runtimes, and distributed systems.
- Expand AXIR support from prototype (CPU + Intel GPU) to multiple architectures (CUDA, ROCm, SYCL, TPU, Trainium).
- Collaborate with academic and industry partners (EPFL, ETH, hyperscalers).
- Recruit and manage a world-class technical team.
Who You Are
- 3+ years experience in compilers, GPU runtimes, HPC, or equivalent academic research (PhD/postdoc welcome).
- Strong programming background (C++, LLVM/MLIR, GPU programming).
- Entrepreneurial mindset: fast execution, resourceful, ambitious.
- Ready to commit full-time and co-own the company.
